HBCU Line Dance Challenge

The HBCU Line Dance Challenge Attempting the Largest Electric Slide Ever Hosted by an HBCU

After drawing more than 500 participants in 2025, this year’s challenge is even bigger. UAPB is inviting students, alumni, families, kids, community groups, churches, sororities, fraternities, dance teams, coworkers, and line dance lovers from across Arkansas and beyond to come together for a fun-filled, multi-generational celebration.

This is more than a dance challenge. It is a celebration of culture, connection, music, and community pride that brings generations together through dances that everybody knows and loves. From generations who grew up doing the Electric Slide to kids learning the steps for the very first time, the HBCU Line Dance Challenge brings people together through music, tradition, and shared community moments. And while everybody may be doing the same dance, everybody brings their own style to the floor. From coordinated outfits and custom shirts to dance flair, fans, boots, sneakers, and signature moves, the challenge is also about showing off your personality, creativity, and crew spirit.

Whether you know every step or are learning for the first time, everybody is welcome to join the fun and help create a history-making moment in the Bluff. Bring your crew. Coordinate your outfits. Show off your style. Teach the kids the dances. And get ready to slide with hundreds of people in one unforgettable community experience.
